Dr. Foad Izadi appointed as Chairman of ICIH’s International Committee
The secretariat of the International Congress on Islamic Humanities announced that Dr. Foad Izadi has been assigned to chair the international committee of the congress’s 6th edition. Dr. Izadi was appointed to the post by virtue of an order issued by the Supreme Council of Islamic Humanities’ secretary Dr. Ataollah Rafiei Aatani.
The responsibilities of the international committee’s chair are as follows:
-Choosing the scientific committee’s members
-Making plans for specialized meetings outside Iran on subjects of the congress’s commissions
-Identifying and persuading foreign researchers to present papers on subjects of commissions
-Overseeing the reviewing of foreign papers
-Identifying and introducing candidates for the 5th global award of Islamic humanities
-Identifying highly skilled researchers to have them write papers for the “Theory Book”
Dr. Foad Izadi holds a PhD in Mass Communication from the State University of Louisiana. He is currently an academic board member of the Faculty of World Studies at Tehran University. Dr. Izadi is also the managing director of the International Association of Muslim University Professors.
Dr. Izadi’s scientific and executive career includes: writing and translating numerous books on international relations, being a member of the Strategic Council of Foreign Policy and Baseej’s Supreme Council Commission, being a real member of the Thinkers Council of Jam-e-Jam TV Channel, and representing the Expert Panel of the Supreme Leader Representation in Universities.
