Final Statement of the Fourth International Congress of Islamic Humanities
The Statement of the Third World Award in the Islamic Humanities
In the name of God the compassionate the merciful
After giving our thanks to Almighty God for the great and indescribable blessing of Islam as well as its enlightening and life-giving teachings, we salute the beloved Prophet of Islam and his pure family, and offer our best and most sincere greetings to the Imam of the age Hazrat-e Mahdi “May Allah hasten his return”.
We also cherish the name and the memory of the great founder of the Islamic Revolution the Great Imam Khomeini, and dear martyrs of the Islamic Revolution, especially the martyrs of the seminary school and the universities; and we sincerely salute the supreme leader of the Islamic Revolution the Grand Ayatollah Khamene’i.
The Committee of the World Award in Islamic Humanities proudly announces that due to the scientific efforts of the intellectual professors and scholars of the seminary school and university, as well as because of the gradual flourishing of the apparent and hidden capacities in this field, we witness the strengthening of the foundations of the Islamic humanities and presenting the valuable ideas and innovations in this area. The most important indication of the strength of these theories is their resistance to the systematic critiques of the scientific community. However, this committee, despite what we’ve been thinking at first, encountered a considerable number of theorists in this conference like the previous ones, and experienced a hard time in selecting and introducing the superior ones. However, given the philosophy of this award, the Award Committee means to select those people who have done beyond offering one or more privileged theories, but contributed in developing Islamic humanities in different ways and enhanced its scientific assets so that the scientific society would continue its way better than before by relying on their capacities.
After a series of multi-stage examinations, which have been appointed as for the regulation of the Award Committee, and also referring to the opinion of a group of prominent professors of the Islamic humanities in some cases, the Committee of the World Award in Islamic Humanities has eventually come to the conclusion that three theorists deserve the award at the ceremony of the third conference which is today being held near the holy shrine of Hazrat-e Fateme Ma’soume (PBUH), with some of the professors of the seminary school and university:
First: Hujjat al-Islam val Moslemin Hamid Pārsāniyā, in the field of Philosophy of Social Sciences.
In addition to his valuable services in educational areas and writing several significant works especially in the field of philosophy of religious science, he has in particular succeeded to present a leading perspective on setting the relations between Islam and social sciences, and introducing a specific model to link them.
Second: Dr. Hasan Sobhāni, in the field of Islamic Economics.
While improving and expanding the discourse of Islamic economics in Iran and providing severe criticisms of the liberal economy, as well as establishing Islamic economics and educating many students in this field, he has been able to contribute greatly to the progress of Islamic economics.
Third: Hojjat al-Islam val Moslemin Abdolhossein Khosropanāh, in the field of Philosophy of Islamic Humanities.
In addition to promoting the discourse of the Islamic Humanities and compiling some outstanding scholarly works on the philosophy of Islamic Humanities, he has particularly succeeded to provide some significant views to strengthen and complete the underlying layers of the basic thinking of the Islamic Humanities and explaining it for the scientific community.
Moreover, the Committee of the World Award in Islamic Humanities has decided to proudly appreciate Professor Taha Abd ol-Rahmān, from Morocco, and give him its award certificate because of presenting some distinguished and transformative perspectives on semantic and philosophy of language, as well as establishing a connection between this field and the political Islamic thought which have all in all led to consolidation of Islamic humanities thought in the Islamic world.
In the end, while wishing health and success for these precious scholars so that they can sincerely serve the progress and excellence of the Islamic society, we hope that awarding this prize would contribute in introducing successful scientific models to the scientific community; and we will see the better use of these professors’ capabilities in order to achieve great scientific developments in the world of Islam from now on. We appreciate all the respectable professors and scholars who have helped the Committee of the World Award of the Islamic Humanities at different stages. It is also necessary to warmly thank Mabnā Institute of Culture and Excellence, Islamic Azad University, and Sadra Center of Islamic Humanities Studies for participating in providing the prizes of this conference.
Wassalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
